Record donations as result of successful NEW Taste of Hudson.

November 15, 2017 – Hudson, Ohio – A Taste of Hudson, Inc. is pleased to announce the presentation of grants to sixteen deserving Hudson and Summit County based organizations as a result of a record breaking Taste of Hudson event this past Labor Day weekend.

Taste of Hudson grant donation checks were presented on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Hudson Library & Historical Society to the following recipients:

  • Hudson City Schools Maintenance Department
  • Hudson Clocktower Rotary
  • Hudson Community First
  • Hudson Community Service Association – Lighting Committee
  • Hudson Community Service Association – Hudson Food Pantry
  • Hudson High School Athletic Department
  • Hudson High School Scholarship Fund
  • Hudson Job Search
  • Hudson Library & Historical Society
  • Hudson Music Association
  • Hudson Screen on the Green

“The new Taste of Hudson redefined an already successful event and brought it to the next level based on the improvements implemented this year.  We are proud of our team and of the results, especially the record proceeds of $50,500, which will be granted to many worthy local organizations,” said Bob Liskiewicz, Taste of Hudson president.

The 2017 Taste of Hudson returned after a one-year hiatus during which organizers worked to reorganize and re-energize the festival, showcasing the best of Hudson and the surrounding communities to over 20,000 guests this past Labor Day Weekend. Improvements included a revised layout with open air dining options, a cash and credit system for tastings and interactive children’s activities focused on science, technology, engineering and math to name a few.

“It’s an honor to be a part of such an amazing event and to lead a team of dedicated professionals who were committed to the Taste of Hudson returning in 2017. The tireless of work of the board and the committee allowed us to create a fun-filled event with not only the perennial favorites but new and exciting exhibits for the entire family to enjoy. The refocused approach to the event received positive feedback from sponsors, vendors and attendees alike and provided us a great launching point for the 2018 Taste of Hudson,” said Debra Sherman, Taste of Hudson executive director.

Established in 2005, A Taste of Hudson, Inc. is a not for profit organization which produces one of the area’s largest two-day festivals featuring food, live entertainment, exhibitors and children’s activities and draws over 20,000 visitors annually.
