Hudson’s “Hail to the Chefs” Gala set for Friday, May 30
The 9th Annual Event Will Celebrate Taste of Hudson Chefs

HUDSON, OH (April 10, 2014) Hail to the Chefs will be held on Friday, May 30, from 7pm to 11pm at Lake Forest Country Club. The annual event celebrates Hudson’s exciting culinary scene and raises the anticipation for the Taste of Hudson festival, which will take place August 31 and September 1.

Chefs representing many of Hudson’s best restaurants and establishments will serve preview samples of their selections for Taste of Hudson, which will celebrate a 10th anniversary milestone this year. Hail to the Chefs is also a fundraiser for Akron Children’s Hospital.

Serving as honorary co-chairs of Hail to the Chefs are Shawn Lyden, executive vice president at Akron Children’s Hospital, and Kathy Chadwick-Koke, vice president of marketing at Laurel Lake Retirement Community. Both organizations are long-time sponsors of Hail to the Chefs and Taste of Hudson. Henning Software of Hudson is also recognized as a valued Hail to the Chefs sponsor. Returning Event co-chairs are Carrie Gynn and Stephanie Lallement, who will ensure a lively and delicious evening from start to finish.

The line-up of restaurants for the Hail to the Chefs event, at time of release, includes:

The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and appetizers by Lake Forest Country Club and Adams Reserve, New York Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Lake Forest Country Club will also create magnificent desserts for guests that evening.

“We invite the community to experience Hail to the Chefs,” said co-chair Carrie Gynn. “Lake Forest is a beautiful location for a summertime party. We look forward to this annual gathering of friends who want to have fun while supporting a valuable local institution like Akron Children’s Hospital.”

Co-chair Stephanie Lallement works closely with the restaurants for both Hail to the Chefs and Taste of Hudson and added “It’s fun to get up close and personal with Hudson’s best culinary talent, but Hail to the Chefs offers so much more too.”

Cleveland media personality Joe Cronauer will serve as the event emcee and guests will enjoy music from ContraBand, a Taste of Hudson favorite. The live auction will be conducted by Cronauer, and there will also be a silent auction with prizes such as sports packages, dining certificates and merchandise from the Hudson merchant community.

Tickets go on sale April 14. Ticket prices are $90 per person prior to May 15 and $100 after and at the door. Groups of eight or more may purchase tickets for $80.
