Hail to the Chefs Gala Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Spotlight on Hudson Culinary Talent
HUDSON, OH (April 17, 2015) Tickets are now on sale for the Hail to the Chefs charity gala which will take place at Lake Forest Country Club in Hudson on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 7pm to 11pm. The gala is celebrating its 10 year anniversary as one of Hudson’s most delicious fundraising parties. The food focused event will benefit Akron Children’s Hospital’s School Health Services and other local charities and is produced by Taste of Hudson, Inc.
“Hail to the Chefs is a unique event in the Cleveland/Akron area. During this evening, you will be able to taste the recipes of 10 of the best chefs of our community,” says Stephanie Lallement, Co-chair of the gala. “On top of having a fun evening listening to some great live music and shaking the dance floor with your friends, you will contribute to local charities close to our hearts.” To give you an example, last year, the Hail to the Chefs gala and Taste of Hudson were able to contribute monetarily to Akron Children’s Hospital’s School Health Services, Hudson Community First and a dozen other deserving organizations.

We look forward to this annual gathering of friends who want to have fun while supporting a valuable local institution like Akron Children’s Hospital.”
Honorary Co-chairs, Shawn Lyden and Kathy Chadwick-Koke, present an exciting event to showcase Hudson’s burgeoning culinary scene and raise support for the work of Akron Children’s Hospital in the Hudson community. Delicious foods, dancing, and live music by Fabulous Voices Band and auctions are all part of the evening, which will be hosted by favorite local media personality Joe Cronauer. Hail to the Chefs sponsors includes Akron Children’s Hospital, Laurel Lake Retirement Community, Henning Software and Akhia. More Than Gourmet, a Hudson-based company, will provide a special gift for each attendee.
The star attraction of Hail to the Chefs is always the food, artfully presented by chefs of Hudson area restaurants. Many of the participating restaurants will present items to Hail to the Chefs guests that are not seen on their regular menus, or will add a unique twist or element of surprise.

The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and appetizers by Lake Forest Country Club and Adams Reserve, New York Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Cocktail hour music will be provided by the Aurora School of Music and Fabulous Voices Band. Lake Forest Country Club will also create magnificent desserts for guests that evening with coffees provided by Hudson’s newest coffee shop, Caffe Gasperi.
Co-chair Stephanie Lallement works closely with the restaurants for both Hail to the Chefs and Taste of Hudson and added “Have a taste of the best chefs in Hudson, have fun on the dance floor with your friends, and listen to an amazing dance band until 11p.m. On top of having the most memorable evening of the year, you will help contribute to our local charities.”
Joe Cronauer, as the event emcee, will present a live auction and dedicate the Annual Heart of Hudson Award to a deserving Akron Children’s Hospital physician who lives in Hudson. There will also be a silent auction with prizes such as sports packages, unique gift items, dining certificates and merchandise from the Hudson merchant community. Attendees of the 10th anniversary gala will vote on the “Best Taste of the Night” recognizing the chef and restaurant offering the most palate-pleasing food that evening. This award will be presented annually at future Hail to the Chefs events.
Tickets are on sale now at $90 per person prior to May 15 and $100 after and at the door. Groups of eight or more may purchase tickets for $80.
