2010 TASTE OF HUDSON CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES

Nothing says Taste of Hudson more than the wonderful variety of family and children's activities and entertainment located throughout the festival grounds. Hudson is the world headquarters and home for both Little Tikes and Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores. Each company is a major sponsor and participant at The Taste and have created an entire area to keep your family busy while at the festival.

• Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores is sponsoring the Jo-Ann Kids' Craft Zone, located on the Akron Children's Hospital and Summa Health System Activities Green, for fun 'Make It-Take It' projects. Children will also have the opportunity to make and give a craft to be donated to the Akron Children's Hospital.
  
  
• Be sure to visit Little Tikes Land also located on the Activities Green! An interactive play area filled with all of the latest Little Tikes play structures and toys is waiting for your little ones at the Taste. There will be toys for pretend play, building, splashing and sports.
  
  
• Little Tikes Land, also located on the Family Activities Green, is where little ones will enjoy playing t-ball, golf and soccer. There will also be sand structures and playhouses to keep young kids busy.
  
  
• Be sure to visit the Clocktower Green for inflatable fun! Children can bounce, climb and slide to there heart's content! Future firefighters can check out the Hudson City safety vehicles located on Church Street between the Clocktower and Gazebo Greens. The Summit County Humane Society will have adorable, adoptable pets on the Clocktower Green on Sunday and Monday. Come and meet your new best friend!

  • A variety of costumed characters, face painters, family shows and entertainers will take to the stages and the grounds of this year's Taste. Jungle Terry will once again be bringing his traveling animal showcase to the Clocktower Green at 3PM on Sunday.
    
    
  • The family can enjoy the magic of the Great Brad in the comm unity-dining tent on First Street at First & Main next to the Windstream Communications Culinary Green on Sunday at 6PM and he will reappear on Monday at 3:30 in Little Tikes Land.
    
    
  • There will be children's Inflatable fun all day both days.  Rides include the Climb and Slide, Castle Bounce House and the Morphy crawl-through.  All inflatables are located on the Clock Tower Green.
    
    
  • Stop by the FASTFRAME Youth Art Exhibit, located in the FASTFRAME tent on the Family Activities Green. You'll be amazed by the talent showcased in this exhibit, which includes over 70 pieces of artwork created by Hudson children ranging in age from 17 months to 16 years.
    
    
  • The Merrill Lynch tent on First Street will feature Cowboy Jess making balloon bullhorn hats for the little cowpokes. Hours: Sunday from noon-6PM and Monday from 1-5PM.
    
    
  • While on First Street visit Nicky Nicole's tent for the airbrush artistry of Buckeye Tats on Sunday from 1-5PM and Monday from noon-4PM.
    
    
  • Roaming entertainers provided by Party for a Living will do magic, face painting, balloon animals and more throughout the Taste from 12-5PM on Sunday and Monday.
    
    
  • Kid's tattoos will be in the Little Tikes Land tent on the Activities Green on Sunday and Monday.
    
    
  • Our newest addition to the Taste of Hudson teen activities is the inaugural "Rock the Green! In conjunction with the Hudson Library & Historical Society, the Taste of Hudson Teen Battle of the Bands, which will take place on the Kent Stage Bandstand on the Gazebo Green on Sunday from noon to 4PM. This event, sponsored by Buford T. Hedgehog Productions, will feature the finalists of a teen band competition. The bands (listed in the entertainment schedule hail from Hudson and several surrounding communities. Judging criteria includes points for crowd support, so come and cheer on your favorite band!
